Introduction

Most of my great-grandparents were Mormon Pioneers from England, Wales and Denmark, who crossed the plains by wagon train or handcart. The challenges they faced in leaving their families, crossing the ocean, and the plains were followed by further challenges in settling various areas of Idaho, Utah, and Canada. They were involved in temple building and performing sacred saving ordinances for themselves and their ancestors, inside those temples.

The purpose of this blog is to share with you, and future generations, their stories. While compiling these histories, I have been almost overwhelmed by how blessed I am because of their awe-inspiring decisions and the very heroic ways they chose to live. It is a wonderful time to be on the earth, when we have the ability to gather and share such precious histories with one another.
