Lewis Charles Juchau and Martha Dugdale (Parents of Charles Daniel Juchau)

Lewis Charles Juchau, son of Lewis Charles Juchau and Ann Adcock, was born September 23, 1798 in St. George, Southwark, Surrey, England.  Lewis Charles Juchau married Martha Dugdale August 5, 1821 in St Giles without Cripplegate, London, London, England.  Martha Dugdale, daughter of James Dugdale and Elizabeth Eliza Oakey, was born May 1, 1800 in St. George, Southwark, Surrey, England.

Lewis Charles and Martha were married by banns on August 5, 1821 in St. Giles without Cripplegate, London, England. Both were living in the parish. Lewis was listed as a bachelor and Martha as a spinster.

Together, they had 11 children named Charles Daniel, Martha, Philip, William, Henry, Camelia Charlotte, George, James Joseph, Alfred, Lewis John and Mary Ann.

Lewis Charles and Martha’s first two children were christened on the same day: 28 Sep 1823.  Lewis Charles was a fan maker and the family was living at Ironmonger Place.

Lewis Charles and Martha Juchau lived on Ironmonger Place for several more years. However, by 1830, the family had moved.

Martha (Dugdale) Juchau died May 7, 1883 in Hoxton, Shoreditch, Middlesex, England.
